Ingredients of Kerala Semiya Payasam

  1. You need 2 cups of Semiya(preferably roasted semiya).
  2. You need 1 cup of Sugar.
  3. Prepare 2 tbsp of Cashew nuts.
  4. Prepare 2 tbsp of Raisins.
  5. It's 1/4 tsp of Cardamom powder.
  6. Prepare 4 cup of Milk.

Kerala Semiya Payasam instructions

  1. Heat ghee in a pan..
  2. Fry the cashew nuts and raisins in ghee..
  3. When the color of cashews and raisins turn golden, take it out and keep it aside..
  4. Roast semiya in remaining ghee for 3-4 minutes and keep aside..
  5. Boil the milk in a vessel..
  6. Add semiya into the boiled milk and stir it well..
  7. Boil the mix for about 10-15 minutes (stir it occasionally)..
  8. When the semiya is cooked well, add the cardamom powder and sugar..
  9. Mix well and cook for a minute..
  10. Switch off the flame and transfer payasam in serving bowl..
  11. Garnish with fried cashews, raisins and almond flakes..
