Ingredients of Kerala Semiya Payasam
- You need 2 cups of Semiya(preferably roasted semiya).
- You need 1 cup of Sugar.
- Prepare 2 tbsp of Cashew nuts.
- Prepare 2 tbsp of Raisins.
- It's 1/4 tsp of Cardamom powder.
- Prepare 4 cup of Milk.
Kerala Semiya Payasam instructions
- Heat ghee in a pan..
- Fry the cashew nuts and raisins in ghee..
- When the color of cashews and raisins turn golden, take it out and keep it aside..
- Roast semiya in remaining ghee for 3-4 minutes and keep aside..
- Boil the milk in a vessel..
- Add semiya into the boiled milk and stir it well..
- Boil the mix for about 10-15 minutes (stir it occasionally)..
- When the semiya is cooked well, add the cardamom powder and sugar..
- Mix well and cook for a minute..
- Switch off the flame and transfer payasam in serving bowl..
- Garnish with fried cashews, raisins and almond flakes..
