Ingredients of Kerala sukhiyan

  1. You need 2 cup of cooked green gram.
  2. You need 1/2 cup of desiccated coconut/ grated coconut.
  3. It's 1 cup of jaggery melted.
  4. Prepare 2 cup of maida/ all-purpose flour.
  5. Prepare 2 tsp of turmeric powder.
  6. Prepare 1/2 tsp of Salt.
  7. You need 1 tbsp of Elaichi/ cardamom powder.
  8. You need As needed of Water.
  9. It's As needed of Oil.

Kerala sukhiyan step by step

  1. Mix boiled green gram, grated coconut, elaichi powder and jaggery together in a large bowl.
  2. Take a small portion of above mix and make into a lemon sized ball.
  3. In an another bowl mix maida/All-purpose flour, salt, turmeric powder into a thick paste without any lumbs.
  4. Cover the green gram mix in this maida mix.
  5. Deep fry the balls in the oil. Cook until it become golden brown. Remove it from the oil..
  6. Our Sukhiyan is ready.
