- You need 4 of Ripe Plantain.
- It's 1 cup of All Purpose Flour (Maida).
- Prepare 1 tbsp of Rice Flour.
- You need 1/4 tsp of Turmeric Powder.
- Prepare 1 tbsp of Sugar.
- It's 1/4 tsp of Baking Powder.
- Prepare of Salt (As required).
- You need 3/4 cup of Water.
- You need of Some Coconut Oil or any Oil for Deep Frying.
Kerala Style Banana Fritters instructions
- Mix All Purpose Flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and water in a dish and mix it thoroughly to form a semi thick batter..
- Add turmeric powder to the batter to colour it a bit..
- Peel the bananas and slice them lengthwise into half and then slice each halfway into 3 to get the thin slice..
- Dip the slices in the batter and coat them evenly..
- Heat Oil in a deep bottom frying pan..
- When the oil becomes hot, put the batter coated banana slices in the hot oil and fry till golden brown. Flip them in between..
- Remove from oil & place them on kitchen towel/paper napkins in order to drain off the excess oil..
- Serve hot..
